Newman Dance Team Pride!
The Newman Catholic High School Dance Team is a 10-16 member performance and competitive based team. The team performs at half-times of Knight sporting events. They also compete in the Iowa State Dance Team Championships every December. They perform pom, hip hop, and jazz routines that are technically demanding, high energy and crowd pleasing. The Newman Dance Team season runs from mid. August through mid. February, with some practices/activities in the summer. Newman Dancers should be prepared to practice 3-4 times per week depending on what they are preparing for. Newman Dancers should be prepared to be totally committed to the program and understand that it is a Newman extracurricular activity, and like all other Newman extracurricular activities, attendance at all practices, performances and special events is required. Dancers are expected to carry themselves with pride, high standards and good judgment, knowing that their actions and behavior reflect upon their team and Newman Catholic High School.
